All fancied up

Today the girls had their dance recital pictures so they got to get all dressed up and their hair done, then have a magazine photographer take their pictures! They were so precious! I took a few pictures of the day.

Emory was so excited to have on her "stage make-up" and couldn't wait to admire herself in the mirror!

The pictures at the studio didn't turn out quite as well because the photographer was using his huge flash, but she still looks SO precious!

How cute are they? They are even dancing with the teddy bears!

Emory's pictures were taken this morning and I was able to get her ready while Greg had her sisters at Trinity's soccer game. Unfortunately I was not able to give the same attention to Trinity's getting ready because we were also playing with her sisters and my mom (who so graciously drove ALL the way to our house to stay with the girls while Greg went to a football game and I was taking them to pictures). I didn't really get any pictures of Trinity, well none that turned out, but she looks beautiful too! I snapped one of her group posing for their picture so you can see they all look cute! They had also changed the rule at the studio, not allowing the parents into the room with the girls, so I had to take this one from the hall...oh well!

Trinity is, of course, the one with her head turned to the side, on the front row.

I can't wait to see their performances!!! I have some talented little girls- not that I'm biased or anything:)

Sassy big sister

Today Trinity put on one of her new summer dresses for the first time and even though it was way too big, she looked really cute! I guess she felt cute too because she asked me to take pictures to show her daddy. She put on her sunglasses and started striking poses waiting for me to get the camera ready, I couldn't help but want to share the results

I don't know where she got the facial expressions from, I guess she's been watching America's Next Top Model behind our back or something. She refused to smile! What fun times and I'm so glad I will be able to look back at them and show the girls too!

Good food and Great friends!

Last night we had the wonderful pleasure of dining with some of our good friends from college, Ben (or affectionately called Uncle Ben by our little girls) and the Cardwells. They drove all the way down to our neck of the woods just for us! We headed out for some of our favorite Mexican Food...little did we know it would be an hour and a half wait, or we would have had anything else to eat. The food was good, but not worth all that wait! The kids were all extremely well behaved, especially considering it was after their bed time...WAY after their bed time before they got to eat! We really enjoyed spending time with them, it's been too long. I didn't get my camera out until we were leaving the restaurant, but I did manage to get a few pics then.
Addison giving Ava "sugars"- more like a hug:)
Uncle Ben and his two littlest nieces

Trinity and Emory dancing on the poles as they wait to leave

Emory and Uncle Ben showing us their gum...lovely! I guess that's what uncles teach, huh?

We had a wonderful time and can't wait to do it again! We are truly blessed to have friends like you guys in our lives! Thank you!

playin outside

During the beautiful weather last weekend we spent sometime playing outside. Addison has discovered the Barbie Jeep and LOVES to play in it.

Boy she thinks her stuff don't stink when she's riding in style!

Modeling Shoot

One evening last week I was in the playroom with Addison and Emory when we looked up to see Greg and Trinity walking out the door with his camera in hand and her looking all fancy. We ended up following them outside to see what they were up to and discovered they were holding a "modeling shoot". I never figured out whose idea this was or exactly why they were doing it (other than the obvious fun and cute pictures). I ended up taking my camera out too (Greg's awesome camera is 35mm...hello stone age?) so we got a few with it too and here are some of the results:

I don't know where she got the idea for these facial expressions, but they're pretty cute if you ask me!

Then Emory got hold of the camera

Emory finally got her turn with the flowers and the flash

Trinity was worn out after a long day of playing and modeling, so she climbed up in my lap and Daddy found another great photo opp

I love my precious girls!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPPY!

I might just be the worst daughter ever! In all the craziness around here lately I completely forgot to make a post for my dad's birthday last Friday. I'm sorry Dad, you know I was thinking about you all day and the girls loved having your birthday dinner with you (twice) and making your cake for you! We made a video for you, hope you enjoy it!

We love you so much Croker and hope this next year is the best year yet! Happy Belated Birthday!

Love, Your Baby Nerd and family:)

Addison's new loves

Addison is growing so much, so quickly, I don't even know where to start. She talks (jabbers) non-stop! There are a few grown-ups and a couple of children she will stop in the hall at school (or wherever she sees them) and just talk their ear off! You can tell what she's talking about because she will point to it (her clothes, shoes, sisters, etc) although you can't tell what she's saying. On Friday she was sitting in her highchair eating lunch and had my sister and me both laughing at her and she said, clear as day, "Addison silly". We were both so shocked to hear her say that, we looked at each other to verify it wasn't our imaginations! She is walking like a real pro and almost up to a run!

This weekend she got her first pair of Crocs and is SO in LOVE with them, she can hardly stand it! She has had to have them on at all times, even when she's sleeping! Emory went through a stage like this with her first pair of Reef flip-flops (or as Emory would have said at the time, "La-Lops" or "ship-shops") when she was about this age. Emory stage lasted for about five months and she had the most insane tan lines from those things, sometimes I think I can still see them! I see a lot of Emory's passion for fashion and babies in Addison...double trouble for Daddy! Here are a couple of pictures of Addison telling us about her new shoes.

Another new favorite thing of hers is head-bands, especially this one with bunny ears on it. Unfortunately she didn't find it until after Easter (just one of the things I didn't get put away with the decorations and the girls have found) so I didn't get any cute pictures of her in it and her Easter dress or with her Easter basket, but she has too much fun with it not to take pictures now. She can't quite get it up on top of her ears, so she is perfectly content (and proud) to wear these or sunglasses around her neck instead.

Once I got them up on top of her head she thought she was the coolest thing around, of course her sisters, father and I did everything in our power to encourage that!

So terribly sorry!

I can't believe I haven't posted anything in two weeks! I'm so far behind I don't even know where to start. We have been going crazy with spring cleaning and getting the house ready to put on the market, it seems like that's all we've had time to do! This past weekend the girls spent the night with my parents Friday night so Greg and I had Friday night and all day Saturday to work around the house. We spent Friday night packing up boxes and taking them to storage (we have WAY too much stuff!) and spent all day Saturday cleaning out the garage. Now, when I say cleaning out the garage I don't just mean straightening stuff up and getting rid of a few things that shouldn't have been in there to begin with, but I mean CLEANING! I actually scrubbed the floor and walls! It was crazy and we're both suffering from major sinus/allergy problems to prove how much dust we were exposed to. On Sunday we spent the afternoon in the yard, just working in one little part. We worked so hard out there I have blisters to show. With my two helpers in tow we got all the window cleaned, inside and out. Whew...I'm tired!

So, long story short (or maybe that should be short story long) I've just been so crazed with the house and yard that I haven't taken the time to post anything. I'll work on catching up on pictures and stories though.
