HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPS!

Happy Birthday to you

Happy Birthday to you

Happy Birthday dear Pops

Happy Birthday to you!!!!!

We hope you have a wonderful day, full of celebration and love! We can't wait to see you tomorrow to celebrate with you at the beginning of another blessed year of your life!

The girls made a video singing to you, but I didn't download it before Greg and Trinity left for their campout and took the camera with them. I'll get it posted when they return (along with the million pics they take this weekend!).

We all love you and are so blessed to have you in our lives!

Daddy Date

Today was Emory's first ever Daddy date! She has been so excited all day! She was ready to get dressed for their date at 9:15 and after attempting to stall her for a while (unsuccessfully) I gave in and let her get all dressed up about 9:30. She got on her nicest jewelery (charm bracelet and heart necklace), her sparkly high heels and her Easter dress...she was ready to go! Greg got home about 12:30 and picked her up for lunch at the "Spinning Around Ball", or otherwise known to us as Antares atop Reunion Tower. What a special day! The girls are so blessed to have such a wonderful Daddy!

When I askeed Daddy how your date went he said, "Emory was such great company". It's true, you are always a treat to have around, always have a pleasant conversation ready to go! I love visiting with you!

When I asked you how your date was you were so excited to tell me about getting to have your own diet coke and water, getting a light pink balloon and paying all by yourself (with Dadd's credit card).

I know you are both looking forward to your next Daddy date!

Addison swinging

While we were waiting for Trinity's soccer game to start on Saturday we played on the wonderful playground at the same park! With all the spare time there lately Addison has discovered the swings. She starts giggling the second you put her in and doesn't stop until the swing stops! I tried to catch the precious giggle on video, but of course she became distracted by the camera, so it doesn't last the entire time, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

Trinity dancing

While we were waiting for the rest of her soccer team to show up Trinity started dancing to the Halloween song she has fallen in love with. Hope you enjoy her rendition!

Elle turns one!

Some of our friends from college, Rob and Kate, have a precious little girls named Elle. Elle turned one on Friday and we had the privilege of celebrating with them on Saturday (her mom's birthday). It was so much fun to see everyone and all the kids! I have to admit it is a little strange to see all those guys get into a little girls birthday party! I still picture them the way they were in college and when I see the other side of them, especially when they're in a group, it just seems like a strange dream! They are all wonderful daddys and "uncles", not to mention all the mommys and "aunts".

The girls had a great time at Elle's party. Addison got to play with all the other babies that were in their mommy's tummies at Kate's baby shower last August. I can't find my picture from Kate's baby shower with all the pregnant mommys, but here are the pictures we had taken of all the babies together on July 14 of this year.

Trinity and Emory had a great time too. Kate and Rob transformed their backyard into a kids water park! Trinity and Emory played in the water park with the other big kids and a couple of the daddys. They also enjoyed the yummy food and cake Kate and Rob worked so hard on! Here are a few pics of the festivities:

Elle's grandmother made the most wonderful party hats...all by hand and one for each guest!

Birthday girl!

Hope you enjoyed your party Elle! I know we sure did! Thanks for including us in your celebration!

Tour of the Fire Station

On Saturday morning, after Trinity's soccer game we had the pleasure of taking a tour of our local fire station along with our neighborhood's parent group. It was so neat! I don't remember the last time I was in a fire station, and I never remember getting a tour like this one, or at least not at a fire station this cool. We got to spray the hose, get inside the truck, listen to the radio calls, go upstairs to the living areas and see the sleeping room, living room, kitchen, lockers and the fire pole (one of the firemen slid down for us three times) and even got to see the paramedics leave for an emergency. The kids had a great time, but I think the parents were just as impressed and excited as they were! Here are a couple of pictures for you to enjoy:

I know it's hard to tell, but that's a boat in the back of a suburban...it's a blow up boat and a big motor!

Addison slept through the whole tour!

Our soccer star

Trinity is on a soccer team for the first time this year. Despite joining the team late (missing the first several practices and couple of games) and having the practices interrupted by games she is doing really well. On Saturday she actually took the ball and ran all the way down the field. She would have scored if her team mate hadn't taken the ball from her. She is really excited about practicing and is an awesome goalie (at least when we practice with her). This has been a great learning experience for the whole family, it's the first time any of the girls have participated in a team sport.
