8 months old

I can't believe another month has flown by! Addison's eight months old today! She has grown so much in the past month, I don't know where to start! She is not only army crawling all over the place, but she has started to get on her knees and rock a little bit. Today she did the funniest thing, she got up on her knees and was trying to figure out how to move forward that way. She moved both of her hands forward, then moved both of her knees at the same time; she looked like a little frog! I guess that's fitting considering that's what her bedroom is done in and all her stuffed animals are!

She is getting her first two teeth as we speak. Two days ago we noticed her gums on the bottom starting to turn clear, showing the teeth trying to break through. Yesterday you could see the whole line for the tooth was clear and when I rubbed medicine on them with a q-tip I could feel them (although not with my finger) and today you can barely feel them with your finger. She is pretty miserable with this! Although I'm not ready for the toothless baby stage to be over, I hope for her sake these teeth get all the way through and up really quickly!

She is starting to wave a little more, using her hand sometimes instead of her whole arm. She really responds to people too. When someone looks at her and smiles she will almost always smile back and make a sound similar to "hi". She definitely knows when I've left the room and doesn't much appreciate me doing so without her. She is putting EVERYTHING in her mouth! She is starting the "uh-oh game" where she drops things over the side of her high chair or stroller and tries to say "uh-oh", although that's not exactly what it would sound like to a stranger, then waits for us to pick it up for her. She is a HUGE thumb sucker which we try to break her of every time we can and that has turned into another game. Anytime we say, "Addison take your thumb out of our mouth" she will take it out and start laughing, then put it back in and wait for you to start over. This probably won't help the cause! She is always happy and everyone she sees comments on that!

So if anyone knows how to slow down the clock please let me know! I have tried to cherish every single second of time with her and every single step and stage, but no matter how much of it I soak up, it's still over when it's over!

Here is her 8 month picture with "Mister". You can look back at her 7 month post for pictures back to birth.

And here is a picture of Addison with her Bunbun (Kelly hope you don't mind we borrowed your name) from Trinity's birthday party at Build-a-bear Workshop.

4th and final 5th celebration

Whew...what a party! Trinity had her "friend" party for her 5th birthday yesterday...if you're counting, that makes 4 celebrations (family party, celebration at school, dinner as a family, now this one)! She decided she was going to have an ALL GIRL party and go to Build-a-bear. It was a FANTASTIC party! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a party location! The party girl (I don't remember their titles) for our party was great! She kept the girls entertained the entire time, even while they were just sitting waiting for all the bears to be stuffed. All the girls had a great time and got just what they wanted! Trinity built a pink bear with a white heart on it's tummy and paw and named her "Fuzzy". It is a very special bear, each of the girls at the party kissed a heart and made a special birthday wish for Trinity and put the heart inside Fuzzy before she was stuffed. Each girl also put a heart inside their own bear and the Party Girl had them do special stuff with it before putting it inside their bear, some of the things were to rub it on their nose, "so it nose it is always loved", touch the heart to their knees "so it would know it you always kneed it", touch it to your tummy "so it would never be hungry"...I don't remember the rest of the things, but it was very special!

Trinity and Emory eagerly await the arrival of the party guests

Picking out our bears (Ruff for Emory and Bunbun for Addison)

All the party girls and their new friends

After building bears and working up quite an appetite we headed up to the food court at the mall and had lunch (chick-fil-a of course) and cookie cake.
Enjoying Cookie Cake!

Sleepy Addison wanting to party with the big girls!
That was the easiest party I've ever planned! I did nothing except make the reservations! Of course it did help tremendously to have my sister there to help with taking pictures, setting up the table and getting the food to the table while we were still building bears. It's like having my own personal assistant! I'm so lucky!
After the party we returned to Build-A-Bear Workshop for Trinity and Emory to spend their hard earned money (they've been doing chores and saving all summer) on more stuff for their bears. Trinity got an Ariel (The Little Mermaid) costume for Fuzzy and Emory got a purse, sunglasses and big girl panties for Ruff. They were SOOOOO proud!

After the party Nicci stuck around for naps with the girls and when Greg jetted to the South Lake Carrol game (yes, he went to yet another HS game this weekend) she stuck around to play, eat dinner, help with baths, and read books! We had a great time just us girls!

One of Nini's favorite parts of the day!
