Another Friday night in Texas...

Isn't the stereotype something about High School football on Friday nights? Well, I guess we fit right in to that one! We went to yet another Woodrow game Friday night and the girls had a blast again! The crowd was a little smaller, the game was a little less exciting and the outcome wasn't quite as good, but we still had a good time!

Play date with Jack!

What a wonderful time we had at the Arboretum on Friday! Emory got to actually have her very own play date and not just tag along on one of Trinity's. We met Jack and Michelle at the Arboretum for a little playing and a picnic. Emory was extremely shy and took a LONG time to warm up to Jack, but after feeding the Koi together (thanks Michelle for thinking of the food) she was quite a bit more comfortable. I hadn't seen Michelle since she was pregnant with Jack and I was pregnant with Emory, so the kids had never met, but by the time we left they were like old friends! We can't wait to see them again, hopefully very soon!

Addison had a blast watching the big kids!
You can tell they ended up having fun together!
Jack, we hope your boo-boos have healed and they didn't slow you down too much!

Future WNBA star?

Okay, so maybe I'm aiming my sights a little high, but could we at least hope for a college scholarship?

Trinity got a basketball goal for her birthday from Pappy and Gommy. I think Emory enjoys it quite a bit more than Trinity does! She will go out back and "shoot hoops" for thirty minutes or more at a time! She does REALLY well too! She usually makes about 75% of her shots! We should probably raise the goal, but she is only 2. She doesn't take it too seriously either, so it's even more entertaining to watch. When she misses she will curl up her nose and see if anyone's watching, then say something like, "Oh man." or "The next one". As you can see in the picture, she won't take off that Cinderella costume even for playing basketball!

Wild Wednesday!

What a crazy days Wednesdays will be this year! Both Trinity and Emory have dance on the same day and I've somehow got to squeeze naps in for Addison and hope to get one for Emory too! Yesterday was our first day of dance this year and the girls were so excited! This is Emory's first time to take, although she has been watching her big sister and participating vicariously through her. She woke up yesterday morning ready to go! She immediately wanted to get on her dance clothes and get her dance bag ready. The second we dropped Trinity off at school she was begging to get to the studio! She didn't understand why her teacher wouldn't be there ready and waiting for her class. She begged and pleaded to go all morning! It didn't help with her anticipation that I had to start preparing everything to go 45 minutes before we left. Emory's class falls right in the middle of Addison's lunch time, so I had to get a bottle ready, food ready, a change of clothes for her...etc. She was lined up at the door ready to go the entire time! Once Emory got to the studio she was seated against the wall in her spot, ready for her class to start! She was the leader of the "train" into studio and the leader of the bunny hop too! She thinks this class was made for her and the other 9 (or so) girls are there to follow her!

After we picked Trinity up from school we took her to dance too. Emory was sure to take her dance bag with her, and of course hadn't changed out of her dance clothes, just in case her teacher "wants her to join Sissy's class". She was sorely disappointed to be stuck in the lobby with me while Trinity was dancing! Trinity had a great time! Her class is a lot bigger than last year, there are 15 I think, compared to 3 last year. She was frustrated to have to share attention with so many girls, but she knew several, so that helped.

Emory had a huge break through with potty-training yesterday! She only had one accident all day and told me when she needed to go potty each and every time (even when she had the accident-I just wasn't fast enough getting her to the potty). This morning she is doing really well too! When I got her to school she hadn't had any accidents! Her teacher gave her a sticker (pink and sparkly!) as a reward for going in the "big girl potty" when we got there, so hopefully that will encourage her to stay on track while she's there. She did it on her own, just like Trinity did! Hopefully she'll be out of diapers in the next week or two! Woohoo!!!! Way to go Emsies!!!!!

Addison had quite a day at dance yesterday too. She was sitting right next to me, playing with me keys when she decided she needed to get over to some of the toys on the floor. She leaned forward to fall over to crawl and smacked her face on the floor, she ended up with a bloody nose! I felt terrible! It only bled a few drops, but you know how badly your nose hurts even when you just barely get hit! She calmed down really quickly though and was ready to crawl around and play more in no time!
