What a crazy days Wednesdays will be this year! Both Trinity and Emory have dance on the same day and I've somehow got to squeeze naps in for Addison and hope to get one for Emory too! Yesterday was our first day of dance this year and the girls were so excited! This is Emory's first time to take, although she has been watching her big sister and participating vicariously through her. She woke up yesterday morning ready to go! She
immediately wanted to get on her dance clothes and get her dance bag ready. The second we dropped Trinity off at school she was begging to get to the studio! She didn't understand why her teacher wouldn't be there ready and waiting for her class. She begged and pleaded to go all morning! It didn't help with her anticipation that I had to start preparing everything to go 45 minutes before we left. Emory's class falls right in the middle of Addison's lunch time, so I had to get a bottle ready, food ready, a change of clothes for her...etc. She was lined up at the door ready to go the entire time! Once Emory got to the studio she was seated against the wall in her spot, ready for her class to start! She was the leader of the "train" into studio and the leader of the bunny hop too! She thinks this class was made for her and the other 9 (or so) girls are there to follow her!
After we picked Trinity up from school we took her to dance too. Emory was sure to take her dance bag with her, and of course hadn't changed out of her dance clothes, just in case her teacher "wants her to join Sissy's class". She was sorely
disappointed to be stuck in the lobby with me while Trinity was dancing! Trinity had a great time! Her class is a lot bigger than last year, there are 15 I think, compared to 3 last year. She was frustrated to have to share attention with so many girls, but she knew several, so that helped.
Emory had a huge break through with potty-training yesterday! She only had one accident all day and told me when she needed to go potty each and every time (even when she had the accident-I just wasn't fast enough getting her to the potty). This morning she is doing really well too! When I got her to school she hadn't had any accidents! Her teacher gave her a sticker (pink and sparkly!) as a reward for going in the "big girl potty" when we got there, so hopefully that will encourage her to stay on track while she's there. She did it on her own, just like Trinity did! Hopefully she'll be out of diapers in the next week or two!
Woohoo!!!! Way to go
Emsies!!!!!
Addison had quite a day at dance yesterday too. She was sitting right next to me, playing with me keys when she decided she needed to get over to some of the toys on the floor. She leaned forward to fall over to crawl and smacked her face on the floor, she ended up with a bloody nose! I felt terrible! It only bled a few drops, but you know how badly your nose hurts even when you just barely get hit! She calmed down really quickly though and was ready to crawl around and play more in no time!
