Happy to see Poop?

Yes, I said Poop and I have a good reason! Emory just said she needed to go potty (not exactly those words), and she sat on the potty and pooped!!!! Woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's hope that means we've had a break-thru and not just a one time thing!

I don't ever remember being so happy to see poop in all my life!

Quote for the day

So we're on the way into school this morning and walked past Emory's teacher while she was on her way to talk to her son who was standing out front (we were actually running early for a change since we had to take the dog to the groomer at 7:45 and I had a meeting at school at 8:30). Emory asked why she was going to talk to him and I responded, "Because she's a Mommy too; that's Ms. D's little boy." Trinity responded with, "Ms. D's a Mommy too? What a pain!"

I'm not exactly sure what she meant by that, but she was pretty proud of herself for making us laugh!

Have a great day! I'm off to clean while I only have one child at home and she's sleeping...

Whew...here comes Wednesday!

We have survived Monday and Tuesday...thank goodness! I was a little doubtful at times that we would make it through, but we have and things are looking up! Monday was definitely a Monday, ugh! Trinity did NOT want to go to school, she cried and cried when I left her. I hated it for her because she has so much fun there! She was fine just after I left of course and did have a great day! I think the reality of school being "every day" is just setting in- for both of us! I realized I have to pack lunches EVERY night...holy cow! Her teacher told me today that she thinks Trinity is developing a crush on one of the boys in her class, she kept asking where he was or if she could play in the center he was in. She has been boy crazy her whole life, why should kindergarten be any different?

Emory had a really good day at school today, it was only her second. She didn't cry when I left, she was sad, but her teacher started reading a book about shoes and go figure my little Diva would be interested! By the way, she wore her "sparkly high heels" to school today! They really do have about a 1 1/2" heel on them and she can walk or run in them better than most runway models! She came home talking about all the boys she played with, not the girls...what is it with my girls?!?!

Addison is growing and accomplishing more with each and every day! She actually waived and said bye-bye to people several different times today when prompted. Well, it was more of a jerking her hand down several times and "buh-buh-buh-buh", but she did it on cue and exactly the same each time. She is officially mobile too! She is army crawling all over the place! I tried to take a video of it tonight, which was of course when she didn't want to show off! I did manage to get the camera back up real quick when she started going again, I will try to post it soon...if I ever figure out modern technology! I spent a good part of her morning nap re-baby proofing the living room and play room. I probably missed some stuff, but I'm sure she'll show me what I've missed in the next day or two.

Oh, I think Trinity has had the "ah-ha" moment with reading! She has added several words to her "sight vocabulary" list today! She even opened a book and read the word 'pasta' without any help! I'm not ready for a child that can read, that means I can't spell all the bad words anymore!

Here are a couple of pictures from my camera from Mom's birthday, they are really cute so I couldn't resist! Oh, and one of Greg and Addison playing pat-a-cake:)

Pictures from Mom's birthday

Here are the pictures from my sister's camera. I think I have a few on mine that I haven't dowloaded yet. It was really dark in the restaurant, so they didn't turn out just wonderful, but you can tell we were having a good time!

God gave me daughters for a reason...

So much for a quiet evening. Yesterday at Mom's party we told the girls they could have desert, after all it was a birthday party! Well, things wound down and tickets were delivered to the table before we had a chance to order anything for them, so we were in pretty hot water with them. To get them back on good behavior (like they had been all evening) we told them we would make it up to them today, so Greg took them for ice cream after their naps. I guess the sugar kicked in just before bed time because some how my precious little princesses were morphed into crazy kids! I would swear I had two little boys running around this house, then I would hear a high pitched, girl scream (I wonder where they got that from...Nini) and I would quickly be reminded they are indeed girls. I mean seriously, they were running, chasing, tackling, hitting...being boys! The main difference is they were laughing the entire time, and screaming like little girls too. Addison was in awe and just kept staring at them! It was like she was watching a tennis match with them running from one end of the house to the next! At one point Greg was trying to get Emory to stop so he could talk to her and she just wouldn't, so Trinity volunteered to get her for him; Trinity walked up to Emory, shoved her down and looked at us and said, "You wanted her, her she is" just as politely as can be, then they both started rolling with laughter!

Boy howdy, if I had to deal with that on a daily basis I would be insane! There really is a reason I don't have little boys!!!!!!
Well my weekend started out awfully quiet...literally! My sister came over and spent Friday with us, then took the girls- all three of them- back to Mom and Dad's house with her! They had a great slumber party with my family! Without children that meant Greg and I got to have a date night! I actually got to see a movie with a rating of anything other than "G"!!!! We went to see Bourne Identity, and I realized how long it had been since I had seen a movie when I started singing songs from Aladdin during the rooftop chase scene...gotta keep, one jump ahead of the bad guys, that's all and that's no joke, these guys don't appreciate I'm broke...

No kids also meant I got to sleep in Saturday morning, and of course the phone had to ring to wake us up...urgh! It's okay though, we ended up getting a lot done around the inside and outside of the house we wouldn't have gotten done otherwise.

Saturday night we finally got to have a party for Mom. I don't think we have ever, ever had any kind of party for her...EVER! I would guess the last party she had would have been for a baby shower when she was expecting my sister. The only way we got to have this party was to have a surprise party for her and not let Dad take any of the heat for planning it. It was so great, we had about thirty of her closest friends and family members there to show her how much they love and care about her, even though she is 60! We had such a great time seeing everyone and the girls had a great time dancing to the live music! I'll attach pictures when I get them from my sister (my camera died just about the time we got there).

When we got home, really late last night, Trinity decided that she was going to "sleep late this morning because I'm so tired from all the excitement". So, at 7:00 this morning she came into the living room (to join her two sisters) so she could put on her pretty dress for church. So what exactly "sleeping late" means to her, I'm not sure!

We plan on having a remotely quiet afternoon and evening at home today so we can make it through our first full week of school without any major problems! We'll see how well that plan works out...
