Since Trinity go to take a field trip to a petting farm I felt it was appropriate to take Emory and Addison on a field trip to the zoo. Today was perfect weather for being at the zoo! When we got there it was chilly enough that the girls wanted to cover with blankets and wear their sweaters, especially since they were riding around in the lap of luxury and not up getting all the exercise. We were the first visitors in the zoo for the day and it was so awesome! We went to see the penguins and got to watch their keeper clean their cage and play with them; did you know each of the penguins has their very own name and each has a very different personality, they even responded to their names when she would call them. I NEVER thought of penguins being like that! What an incredible experience!
By the time we made it over to the children's zoo Emory was ready to play in the creek. She had a great time and got soaking wet! Luckily we had the blankets from earlier in the day she was able to cover up with instead of her wet clothes. They have a really cool aviary in the children's zoo with the most friendly birds! Emory was a little freaked out, but Addison and I thought it was great! I know it's hard to see, but check out what's on my shoulder!
Addison had a wonderful time watching all the animals play and move around. I guess it has been a while since we've been there and she hasn't been able to pick up on all that movement. She laughed and kicked her legs the whole time!
When we got over to the lion cage he started talking to us (it was almost more like he was calling out to someone to make us leave) and I was able to capture a video of some of it:
What a wonderful day! I am so blessed to have the three amazing little girls and incredible husband that I do! What a great family!
