It was the last clinic, so they got to play a real game! You should have seen Emory "running" after the ball! I have never seen anyone prance so much when running in all my life! I should have recorded her instead of photographing her, but I'm sure I'll have chances to do that in the future.
Trinity got to spend her quarters off watching Emory and she was so proud of her! They were precious together. Emory was excited for Trinity to watch her too!
Emory received her very first trophy! She was so excited! I think my favorite thing was the way Trinity reacted to it. She said something along the lines of how proud she was of her and how she's getting so big and she must have really tried hard if she received a trophy. So sweet and supportive!!!!!
This was Trinity's very last soccer game, probably ever. She never really enjoyed it, but she did try to participate and appreciated the experience. She actually made contact with the ball five times during this game! However most of the game she looked more like these pictures
Check out that yawn!
I think the only reason she played this spring season was because of her friends. Having another excuse to see them outside of school is worth just about anything to her!
After everyone finished soccer I took Emory to a birthday party for one of her school friends and Greg took Trinity to her trophy party with her soccer team. Unfortunately I have not gotten any pictures of Trinity and her trophy yet, but she is awfully proud of it!
Since I was with Emory there are a few pictures of her at the party.
Here she is swinging with two of her best friends from school. They are such girlie girls! They always help the teachers and really take care of the other children, they even help with diaper changes. One holds the clean diaper, one holds the wipes and the other holds the desitin...too funny!
After the parties we all reconvened at home for a little quiet time...or so we had planned. Addison took a really good nap, apparently she and Nini played really hard together while we were gone. Speaking of which, Nini took a really good nap too, but Trinity and Emory couldn't stop playing long enough to fall asleep. While the girls were "resting" Greg and I were outside doing more yard work. After "quiet time" and after our workers were finished in the kitchen for the day Nini took Trinity and Emory to the park for some fun projects! We were fortunate enough to even keep her around long enough for dinner! Thanks Nini for spending your Saturday with us and for playing with, I mean taking care of the girls, I don't know what we would have done without your help! Needless to say we all slept really well after this exciting day!
Then along came Sunday. Our workers were back at the crack of dawn so Greg treated everyone to donuts to start the day off with! Quickly after this a sugar high spread like wild fire throughout our house! I managed to get the girls dressed and to church where they were able to get out some of their energy. Greg stayed home with the workers and did more tree trimming (he's become pretty good at this over the past few years!). At least he didn't borrow our neighbors 30 foot latter this time! After church and a quick lunch the girls joined their daddy on the roof while he was trimming trees. I stayed firmly on the ground at all times...no heights for this girl!
After climbing down the girls spent some time primping and preparing for an afternoon of culture with Daddy. He took them to this years musical production at his high school. The selection this year was The Sound of Music and I was told it was amazing! I have had the opportunity to enjoy quite a few of their productions in the past and every time I'm amazed a high school can pull them off. The talent is so amazing at their school! It's hard to believe that it's a public high school! I have been told this year's production was among the best ever, I'm sorry I missed it but I'm thrilled Greg, Trinity and Emory had the pleasure of enjoying it!
Our workers were here pretty late, but they got it finished and it looks great! Just a few finishing touches and the kitchen will be ready to sell! Woo-hoo!
Oh, then came new episodes of Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters...Monday morning came WAY too early for me!
